Pride Multi Media Ventures Limited on Wednesday August 21, 2013 announced an agreement with Pride Media Limited, Publishers of Pride UK to launch a premium celebrity, lifestyle and leisure magazine for the young and young at heart.
The Nigeria version of the United Kingdom celebrity journal is Pride Nigeria International, according to the publisher, Mr. Charles Anyiam-Osigwe who also noted that the magazine will draw from the marketing and editorial muscle of Pride magazine UK which is the UK’s leading lifestyle magazine for the woman of colour established over 21 years ago - as well as the savvy expertise of the Nigerian editorial team and will target male and female readers ages 18 – 57years.

Nollywood actor turned politician, Honourable Rotimi Makinde has concluded plans to wed his Oyebanke Oyelami who is a final year student of political science from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State and she is presently the reigning Miss Osun.
According to sources, all roads lead to MicCom Golf Course, Ada on Saturday August 24, 2013 for the wedding ceremony between the House of representative member and his belle.

Court Dissolves 19yr Old Marriage Over Husbands Inability To Pay Bride Price
Another one of those stories that you read and laugh about but it's true.
(NAN) – An Ikole-Ekiti Customary Court on Thursday dissolved a 19 year-old marriage between Olawale and Mary Adeniyi over the inability of the husband to pay the bride price.
Mary had on July 27, 2012 dragged her husband before the court for failing to pay her pride price.
She also accused her husband of lack of care for the family, constant fighting and threat to her life.
Mary, who has now re-married and known as Mrs Oguntuase, told the court that the union between her former husband was a mere association and was blessed with three children.
She accused her former husband of chasing their eldest child with a cutlass when the child demanded for her school fees from him.

3 Fake Security Operatives Nabbed Over Attempt To Kidnap Ex-Miss Nigeria

Three fake security operatives were arrested in Abeokuta, yesterday, after attempting to kidnap former Miss Nigeria, Feyi Sodipo.
The suspects who were two men and a woman were said to have claimed to be security operatives working for the organisers of Miss Nigeria beauty pageant.
Vanguard gathered that the suspects who had been arrested by policemen attached to the governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta reportedly took ex-Miss Nigeria in their car from Lagos to Abeokuta.
It was further gathered that the suspects, who rode in a Honda Shuttle car with number plate LAGOS, KA 35 EKY were said to have ordered the former beauty queen to enter their car from Lagos to Abeokuta to retrieve her car gift, Hyundai with number plate LAGOS GGE 354 AJ where she parked it.

OJB Jezreel Donates N200,000 To A Children's Hospice
OJB Jezreel gave back to the society by donating N200, 000 to Hearts of Gold Children Hospice situated in Surulere, Lagos state. * I know what's going through some your minds*
The money was part of the funds he raised for his own kidney transplant. The sum of a $100,000 was being raised for him by celebrities and fans for his transplant when Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi stepped in financially which put a halt to the fundraising.
I only wish ordinary people in similar situations could be thrown the same lifeline or even better for the health care system in Nigeria to improve inorder for people to stop dying from illnesses and diseases that could have been easily cured.
In an interview with Entertainment Rave Newspapers, the producer opened up on the lessons learnt and other issues.

According to the independence Beyoncé certainly caused a stir at the weekend as she left over £1,444 in an Essex branch of popular chicken restaurant Nandos.
The singer headlined at the V Festival in Hylands Park, Essex on Saturday night, treating thousands to her booty-shaking music.
Queen Bey was the star of the show but she didn’t forget about the people who helped make it happen.
Treating her entourage, the singer ordered a whopping amount of chicken from the Portuguese family eatery.
According to the copy of the order on Twitter, Bey’s order included 10 medium-spice platters, 10 hot-spice platters, 48 whole chickens, 12 veggie burgers, 48 portions of chips, 24 portions of rice and 24 portions of coleslaw.
It’s no secret the mum-of-one is a fan of Nando’s – the singer splashed out on over a €1000 worth of chicken in a Dublin branch of the restaurant after her performance in the O2 in May.

The TV mogul, 53, confirmed reports that he is fathering his first child with New York socialite Lauren Silverman at the world premiere of One Direction's film, One Direction: This Is Us in London.
"Things are changing in my life right now, for the better," he told the BBC, adding: "I'm proud to be a dad."
"It's something I hadn't thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it," he admitted.
