Kanye West allegedly pocketed $3 million to perform in a former Soviet republic with a rotten reputation for its human rights record.
According to the Guardian newspaper, West performed at a wedding Saturday for the grandson of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
West pulled out his big hits, including "Can't Tell Me Nothing", for his private gig at the Hotel Royal Tulip in the capital Almaty, TMZ reports.

WITH only some 50 years of independent national existence, Nigeria is a country reeking with “new money.” The overwhelming proportion of the millionaires and billionaires in the country are “nouveau-riche;” they became rich literally “overnight.” We are talking of people whose wealth does not go beyond a generation.
Indeed, the fantastic wealth of Nigerian billionaires like Femi Otedola scarcely goes beyond ten/fifteen years. Not only does Nigeria’s wealthy few have a short history, they often have a short future as well. The money comes “miraculously” and goes just as “miraculously.”

In a recent interview with Encomuim,ex-hubby of Ayo Adesanya Actor/producer, Omogoriola Hassan reacted to news about her removing a tattoo that reminded her of him.
"The biggest lesson I learnt was not to trust anyone. The person you trust may eventually disappoint. Then I was the greatest fool but today I am the wisest and happiest. Marrying Ayo then was like boarding a 'one-chance' vehicle. It was like I could never come across a woman I can love like that not knowing I was just being foolish. If not that she had a baby for me, I would have revealed a lot about her. Will just keep them to myself in the interest of our son. But I was agitated when I read that she wants to remove the tattoo on her hand bearing our logo - No Fear. Facebook, Twitter and Google have been caught snooping on messages sent across their networks, new research claims, prompting campaigners to express concerns over privacy.
The findings emerged from an experiment conducted following revelations by US security contractor Edward Snowden about government snooping on internet accounts.
Experts at its Geneva HQ then waited to see which companies clicked on the website.
During the ten-day operation, six of the 50 companies tested were found to have opened the link.
Among the six were Facebook, Twitter, Google and discussion forum Formspring.

Nigerian politics is ever evolving never always for the better as we have seen in recent years. Some members of the ruling party (PDP) at their convention which held yesterday took a drastic decision. Nigeria’s former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and seven other state governors walked out of the convention and went to form a faction of the party, Abubakar Kawu Baraje, a former acting National Chairman of the PDP, was announced as the leader of the new faction of the party.
After addressing an impromptu press conferenec, a former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the PDP, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, was announced as the National Secretary of the new PDP faction.

A statement was released today : “Former President Nelson Mandela has this morning, 1 September 2013, been discharged from the Pretoria hospital where he has been receiving treatment.
“Madiba’s condition remains critical and is at times unstable. Nevertheless, his team of doctors are convinced that he will receive the same level of intensive care at his Houghton home that he received in Pretoria.
“His home has been reconfigured to allow him to receive intensive care there. The health care personnel providing care at his home are the very same who provided care to him in hospital.”
The Presidency added: “We would like to wish him all the best as he continues his recovery at his Johannesburg home.”

Lagos is the fourth worst city in the world, Economist Intelligence Unit, EIU, an independent forecasting and advisory business within the Economist Group has said.
And its top worst cities, are scattered around Africa and Asia. Lagos, the fourth on the list, shares its 137 position with Port Moresby, in Papua New Guinea on 38.9 per cent.
The report made available yesterday described it as the second-fastest growing city in Africa and the fourth worst city on earth.
“Rapid growth is not always a good thing because Lagos is now a magnet for two perpetual threats to peace: pirates and Islamist warriors.
Boko Haram have a problem with cities like Lagos and also lots of weaponry. Pirates threaten trade and use kidnapping as a method of funding. I was going to be silent on this sad, pathetic but true (in many shades) allegation against Pastor B and his popular and trendy ministry. My silence was borne out of respect for the kingdom of God and things that pertain to God. My sole purpose in writing this piece is to open the eyes of the world and believers to the hypocrisy and nonsense behind the pulpit, and to plea that these wolves and blind men stop deflating the faith of people who Christ died for. TMZ reports that Rapper Sean Kingston is being sued for allegedly gang raping a teenage female back in 2010. The woman claims that Kingston, his bodyguard and a member of his band, raped her while she was drunk in a Seattle hotel room after a Justin Bieber concert. Kingston also performed at the Bieber show.
In the suit, the woman states she thought she was going to have a meet-and-greet with Kingston, but when she arrived at the hotel room she was forced to have sex with the rapper and his associates. She was later treated at a hospital for injuries consistent with rape, according to TMZ.
The woman is now suing Kingston and the other two men for $5 million. The rapper insists the sex was consensual.
Criminal charges against Kingston—relating to the same incident—were dropped back in 2010.

Hardly will music experts recount those who made it in the afro hip hop music trend within the past ten years in the industry without making mention of the iconic duo and co-owners of Mo’Hits. With TuFace Idibia arguably the biggest export of the music genre in Nigeria and others like Sound Sultan rocking the industry mid and late 2000, D’Banj, co-owner of Mo’Hits, became the prince of afro hip hop music.
Less than a decade after, Mo’ Hits has died; no thanks to the parting of ways of D’Banj and Don Jazzy as international fame beckoned. Both personalities have moved on and had their own individual gains but the swag and music finesse which was unique about their music is missing.

How did it happen?
I don’t know what to say, but first of all, I want to give thanks to God. I was very sick. Before I went to the hospital, I attended a couple of shows. My partner, Obumneme Ali a.k.a Smash and I had series of shows and in a situation where payment has been made, I had no option than to grace the stage. The Upper Area Court II, Gombe, has ordered David, a 25-year-old, undergraduate to pay the sum of N80,000 to his fiancée, Binta Williams, as part of claims for the ‘damages’ which he inflicted on her within the two years in which they co-habited as lovers.
Williams had accused David as having “camped and used” her for almost two years in his room, while promising to marry her. The accused, confessed that he impregnated Binta twice and aborted the pregnancies, while promising to marry her, but had pled with her that she would have to wait for him to graduate within three years.
A middle-aged woman believed to be from Cameroon, Evelyn Atemkeng, was arrested yesterday in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, by men of the Nigeria Immigration Service for allegedly buying a three day old baby at the cost of N1.2 million.
Mrs Atemkeng accompanied by her aged mother, Anastasia Fambong, was said to have bought the baby boy from a matron of a clinic in Delta State.
Commander of the Cross River State Command, Mr Samuel Ichoi, said his men accosted the lady while she was boarding a ship to Cameroon.
