Atiku Abubakar & 7 State Governors Split to form New Faction of PDP

 

Nigerian politics is ever evolving never always for the better as we have seen in recent years. Some members of the ruling party (PDP) at their convention which held yesterday took a drastic decision. Nigeria’s former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and seven other state governors walked out of the convention and went to form a faction of the party, Abubakar Kawu Baraje, a former acting National Chairman of the PDP, was announced as the leader of the new faction of the party.

After addressing an impromptu press conferenec, a former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the PDP, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, was announced as the National Secretary of the new PDP faction.

The party leaders said they took the decision to salvage the PDP from those who have hijacked it.
