Nelson Mandela Discharged From Hospital, But Remains In Critical Condition

A statement was released today : “Former President Nelson Mandela has this morning, 1 September 2013, been discharged from the Pretoria hospital where he has been receiving treatment.

“Madiba’s condition remains critical and is at times unstable. Nevertheless, his team of doctors are convinced that he will receive the same level of intensive care at his Houghton home that he received in Pretoria.

“His home has been reconfigured to allow him to receive intensive care there. The health care personnel providing care at his home are the very same who provided care to him in hospital.”

The Presidency added: “We would like to wish him all the best as he continues his recovery at his Johannesburg home.”

Lagos Ranked 4th Worst City In The World

Lagos is the fourth worst city in the world, Economist Intelligence Unit, EIU, an independent forecasting and advisory business within the Economist Group has said.

And its top worst cities, are scattered around Africa and Asia. Lagos, the fourth on the list, shares its 137 position with Port Moresby, in Papua New Guinea on 38.9 per cent.

The report made available yesterday described it as the second-fastest growing city in Africa and the fourth worst city on earth.

“Rapid growth is not always a good thing because Lagos is now a magnet for two perpetual threats to peace: pirates and Islamist warriors.

Boko Haram have a problem with cities like Lagos and also lots of weaponry. Pirates threaten trade and use kidnapping as a method of funding. Islamist terrorist groups such as Boko Haram (“Education is forbidden”) want to create their own version of heaven on earth by destroying cities such as Lagos and imposing strict sharia law. Lagos has enormous potential but as yet little to show for it – hence its poor ranking,” the report said.

EIU in its 2013 annual survey of the world’s 140 major metropolises, said Lagos has a long way to go politically, socially and economically before it joins the emerging market club.

I was going to be silent on this sad, pathetic but true (in many shades) allegation against Pastor B and his popular and trendy ministry. My silence was borne out of respect for the kingdom of God and things that pertain to God. But all this changed when I heard the horrific tales of people who had been through the mess of this blind man, and the fact that he had no moral motivation to deny or accept the allegation; all he showed on Sunday was a demented swagger and perverse talk.

My sole purpose in writing this piece is to open the eyes of the world and believers to the hypocrisy and nonsense behind the pulpit, and to plea that these wolves and blind men stop deflating the faith of people who Christ died for. I am a Pastor, a full time minister at that, and I shall not sit back whilethe name of my God, the ministry, and the works of other shepherds is brought to disrepute by the activities, action and inaction of a few blind men behind the pulpit.

Sean Kingston Sued For Alleged Gang Rape

TMZ reports that Rapper Sean Kingston is being sued for allegedly gang raping a teenage female back in 2010. The woman claims that Kingston, his bodyguard and a member of his band, raped her while she was drunk in a Seattle hotel room after a Justin Bieber concert. Kingston also performed at the Bieber show.

In the suit, the woman states she thought she was going to have a meet-and-greet with Kingston, but when she arrived at the hotel room she was forced to have sex with the rapper and his associates. She was later treated at a hospital for injuries consistent with rape, according to TMZ.

The woman is now suing Kingston and the other two men for $5 million. The rapper insists the sex was consensual.

Criminal charges against Kingston—relating to the same incident—were dropped back in 2010.

(NAN) – A Medical Practitioner with Federal Medical Centre, Ekiti, Dr. Kayode Oyebode, on Saturday said that constant use of mobile phones could damage the brain.

Oyebode said this while fielding questions in Osogbo.

He said that the heat generated by cell phone was capable of damaging brain cell.

“The use of mobile phones excessively can cause brain cancer because the composition of the brain tissues is more prone to chemical changes if exposed to radiation.

How did it happen?

I don’t know what to say, but first of all, I want to give thanks to God. I was very sick. Before I went to the hospital, I attended a couple of shows. I wondered how I was able to perform at the shows because I was seriously ill. My partner, Obumneme Ali a.k.a Smash and I had series of shows and in a situation where payment has been made, I had no option than to grace the stage. We decided to round off our shows late last year in order to enable me take care of my health in 2013. But unfortunately, up till January, this year, we were still going for concerts. We even had to travel to Australia to stage a concert.
