Govt officials withdraw support for OJB due to misinformation on funds raised

Head of fund raising committee for #SaveOJB, singer Nomoreloss, says the hype and misinformation is affecting efforts to raise the complete money OJB needs for his treatment.

I did not want to put up a post about this but it is sad when you read about the negative effects of the social media. A Ghanian actress Juliette Ibrahim who I thought would have more sense twitted about the amount of money that is being raised as excessive.......

First things first, what is your business, no one came up to you personally and asked for your opinion. Do you think they would be stupid enough to lie to the most populous African nation as if we were all ignorant?

I know you have an NGO that deals with creating awareness for kidney cancer, you should therefore know about aftercare and how extremely expensive it is especially in Nigeria. He will still have to travel out of the country at least one a year, he will definitely be on medication for the rest of his life and will definitely need to move out of that house to a dust free, hygienic environment.

Do you really want another fund raiser in a year for after care and maintenance? Let's pray no ever has to go through kidney failure.

Nigerian government, you should be ashamed that a fundraiser is needed at all. Why do the less privileged have to die because they can't afford dialysis talk less of the transplant, do your part. The entire amount is less than what one of you would have a party with.

I know what I'm talking about.
