Residents of Lekki please be warned....The Lagos state government has issued a statement on ocean surges in Lekki beaches, saying danger looms in the beaches and their environs.
The General Manager/CEO, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, (LASEMA), Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu has disclosed that residents and Lagosians should stay away from affected areas,especially Lekki beach, Alpha beach and Elegushi Beach.
He said;
“For now, those residing along the shore should stay off. Those who are close to the sea can confirm that there are times the tidal waves are on the increase but the truth is that scientifically, things are changing.
“Those, who leave around Lekki, Alpha and Elugushi beaches should vacate the area now because of the likely of the surge which can lead to severe flooding.
