Nigeria: What's Happened So Far Today.

The federal government is offering N30 billion instead of the N95 billion *ASUU actually said they asked for N85 billion, ummh wondering where the 10 would have gone* as earned allowances to the striking university lecturers in a bid to end the lingering strike, which has shut down academic activities in the universities nationwide.

Meanwhile Madam Goodluck brought Abuja to a standstill yesterday, as about 30,000 women drawn from 36 states of the Federation, led by the First

Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, held a rally to sensitise women in the country on the gains recorded so far in enhancing peace and women empowerment.

30,000 women, I can tell you they all they all didn't come for the sights and sounds of Abuja, it is Nigeria after all *Hustle hustle*.

Oh and the health workers in Nigeria begin a nationwide strike today. The National Union of Pharmacists, Medical Scientists and Professionals Allied to Medicine (NUAHP), on Thursday, declared an indefinite strike across all tertiary health facilities in the nation.

Ummh that's it so far but not to worry. You know there's always something going on. If its not Fani Kayode, it's Patience Jonathan or some sort of buruhaha or another.
