Army officer paid N11m tithe offerings from N150m he stole from Bayelsa state

Can you commit a sin by stealing and then give part of it as tithe?

A Nigerian army officer, Colonel Robert Ahangba, the former aide to late General Azazi has confessed that he used the deceased name to extort N150 million Naira from Bayelsa State and paid a total of 11 million naira as tithe to a Pentecostal church. He said he donated N11 million to the church in two installments of N9million and N2million. This was done during the administration of former governor of Bayelsa, Timipre Sylva.
