Facebook! Funke Akindele's husband justifies announcing their breakup on Facebook.

Breakups, separations and divorces are messy in all situations but Celebrity breakups are awful especially when it's done through the social media. Those reading about it certainly don't mind*wink*. Some are done tactlessly like Nollywood actress Chika Ike on facebook.

While some put up a show, dance and drama about it.

Funke Akindele's recently spoke to E24-7 about a property her husband was developing for her.
According to a report by E24-7 magazine, this is what the real situation is.
“That place is not for me, I have been through hell and back,” she told E24-7MAGAZINE on Friday.
"I was abused emotionally and verbally. Really, I felt we could work things out when the trouble started two months after the marriage, but I made up my mind and shut the door of the marriage at him when the trouble was coming to me too much. I stooped to conquer him; buried my fame and name to make him my husband, but it did not work.
At a point in time, I asked if it's not the same man that was all over me before we married. He nearly got me off my career. He called me severally; I did not pick his calls but when he realized my silence was tormenting him, he took to Facebook. It's alright. Ask him when did he come to my house last? He left me here in my rented apartment with nothing and he will just dash in and dash out. He gets abusive, caustic anytime we have a misunderstanding and often told me to my face, he's going to his wife in Oshodi.”
At Oshodi, she said, she received a warm welcome from the wife, Fadekemi, but constant humiliation from Kehinde.
“She was really loved by the kids at home; she enjoyed taking them out to eateries and stores. Sometimes, they spent the weekend with her and she followed them to school. The children will surely miss her,” our source, close to the family, said. Now that the cookie has crumbled, Kehinde, she said has been calling and sending text messages begging her to come back.
“He sent me sms that he has seen a buyer for his house at Adeniyi Jones for N40million. He asked me if he should sell it and that if he does, he will buy me a new car and a rent me a new apartment. Why now? I don't need all that, I want my sanity.”
After she ignored him, he sent her another text abusing her and calling her names. “So you can see that he does not mean well for me,” she re-iterated. E24-7 checks frevealed as at Saturday evening Kehinde was combing the nooks and crannies of Ikorodu to locate Funke's dad's house. He boasted: “I will do anything to win my wife back.”

£3, 000 Uk Visa Bond: We Will Retaliate - Nigerian Federal Government

The Federal Government on Tuesday insisted on retaliatory action against British citizens if their government went ahead with its plan to impose a £3, 000 visa bond on visitors from Nigeria and five other Commonwealth countries.

It expressed displeasure that Downing Street, which had already set November as the discriminatory policy’s commencement time, had not deemed it neccessary to formally communicate to it on the next step of action.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru, had at a meeting with the British High Commissioner, Andrew Pocock, conveyed the desire of Nigeria to retaliate the policy.

The spokesperson for the ministry , Ogbole Ode, said in a statement in Abuja, that the British authorities were already aware of the Federal Government’s position on the matter.

The statement reads, “Media reports in Nigeria on Monday, July 29, 2013, indicated that the United Kingdom Government will begin to implement from November, 2013, the £3,000 cash bond for first-time visa applicants from Nigeria, and five other Commonwealth countries. The other countries are India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. These media reports themselves were quoting the Financial Times of London.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has yet to receive any official communication on the final decision of the UK government on this matter. The Federal Government has already conveyed its objection to the bond payment to the UK government. This was done when the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ashiru, summoned the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Andrew Pocock, to the Tafawa Balewa House, on June 25, 2013.

“If and when a communication to that effect is received, the Federal Government will take appropriate steps to reflect its national interest. ”

When contacted, the spokesman for the British High Commission in Abuja, Rob Fitzpatrick, said, “No final decision has been made” on the controversial policy.

Driver was on phone at time of Spain train crash which killed 79 - investigators

A Spanish court says “black box” data recorders show that a train conductor was on the phone and travelling at 153 km/h, almost twice the speed limit, when the vehicle derailed, killing 79 people.

Investigators say the train had been going as fast as 119 mp/h (192 km/h) shortly before the derailment and that the conductor Francisco Jose Garzon Amo activated the brakes “seconds before the crash.”

In a statement, the court said overnight that Amo was talking on the phone to an official of national rail company Renfe when the crash happened and apparently was consulting a paper document at the time.

Amo has been provisionally charged with multiple counts of negligent homicide.

Health: Drinking A Glass Of Water Can Make Your Brain 14% Faster

If you’re struggling to come up with the answers, then a glass of water could be the best solution.

Drinking water can sharpen your mind, research shows.

The effect is particularly marked if a person is thirsty.

The University of East London researchers believe that once thirst is relieved, the brain is left to focus on the task in hand.

They carried out an experiment on 34 men and women who completed a number of mental tests twice – once after a breakfast of just a cereal bar and again after a cereal bar washed down with a bottle of water.

None had eaten or drunk anything overnight and all were asked how thirsty they were at the start of the experiment.

Those who said they weren’t thirsty were equally quick at the test of reaction time with or without the water.

But those who were thirsty sped up after having a drink, making them up to 14 per cent quicker than before, the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience reports.

Please Read: A Very Touching Message From Tyler Perry

I STILL MISS YOU

I woke up this morning missing you like you'll never know. I dream about you. Sometimes when I'm alone I can hear your laughter fill the room. It was such a distinct laugh. It meant that everything was right in the world. On Sunday I would watch you singing your heart out in the choir, shouting about how good our God is. We didn't tell the preacher that on Friday night you were singing down-home blues at the top of your lungs, sipping your Hennessy. You loved the blues. You loved playing tonk till midnight in the projects. That was fun you'd say... for you. I wanted to go to bed

I can almost hear you singing right now. Z.Z. Hill was your favorite blues singer. I can feel you from when you would hug me so tight and tell me, "everything is gonn be alright" and how much you loved me. I remember when you were mad at me. That never lasted long. Every year on my birthday you would call me and sing the Happy Birthday song to me. I would call you and ask if you needed anything, anything at all, and you would say, "I need you to be happy".

I don't know if I could have truly expressed how proud I was of you, but I was so proud of you. I remember you saying, "you know I did the best I could with you..." And yes, I know that. I know that you loved me like no other on this earth. Your best was more than good enough. IT WAS!

And I loved you. I still love you so much. I know I was your hope and I know I am your dream. I know that you couldn't go on anymore. I know your body was letting you down although you wanted to stay for us. I'm glad you have no more pain but I have pain now missing you every day. It's been almost four years now, so it's getting easier. Knowing you're with our God helps me get through.

I love and miss you every day. I'm OK now. Standing on my own. Holding you in my heart.

I love you mamma and I always will.

Lagos State Government Moves Against Indiscriminate Hanging Of Washed Clothes

Hehehe. I'm sorry but I had to laugh. Anyhoo, back to the serious business of drying out clothes.

The Lagos State Government on Saturday said it would seal up any building where residents displayed their clothes outside indiscriminately.

The state Commissioner for Environment, Mr Tunji Bello, gave the warning while speaking with newsmen shortly after monitoring the monthly sanitation exercise in Egbe-Idimu area of the state. He said spreading of washed clothes on fences and frontage of buildings was becoming the norm in some parts of the state.

According to him, the practice constitutes a nuisance to the environment. The commissioner also warned residents, who wash and spread their clothes on bridge railings on major roads to desist from such act, saying tough actions would be taken against erring persons.“We are telling residents who wash and spread clothes on the streets, major highways and other places outside their homes to desist from the practice as it constitutes a great environmental nuisance.“This is not good for our people and our state. We have directed the officials of the Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA) to pack those clothes as refuse wherever they see them.“ We will not hesitate to seal up buildings or houses outside of which compounds residents hang their clothes indiscriminately,“ Bello said.

Tina Turner Marries The Love Of Her Life After 27 Years. PHOTOS

The singer married German music producer Bach in a ceremony at her Algonquin home on the shore of Lake Zurich in Kuesnacht, Switzerland.

Out now ... Hello! mag

Among the 120 guests at the bash were Oprah Winfrey and Brian – and while Tina decided against the traditional white wedding dress, all the female guests chose the colour for their gowns.

The What’s Love Got To Do With It singer also revealed how she found her frock for the occasion – after seeing it on a catwalk in Beijing, China.

She said: “I thought, ‘I gotta have that, even if I never wear it.’ Then I thought, ‘I know, that will be my wedding dress.’”

Tina and her new husband, who have been together for 27 years after meeting at Heathrow Airport, jetted to Italy for their honeymoon.

A Girl Should Be Two Things: Classy and Fabulous......Coco Chanel

The above quote is one of fashion’s most famous for a reason – it’s true. Following trends and looking “of the moment” is fun, but it’s even more important to understand the style rules that stand the test of time. Classic fashion icons like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and Coco Chanel aren’t revered today because they were fashion victims who only wore the latest clothes. Instead, they understood basic, indisputable fashion rules and how to use them.

Instead of talking about the latest trends, today I want to focus on something more lasting – a list of 10 fashion tips that will never go out of style. I’m sure none of these rules are brand new to you guys, but since we’re always talking about trends, I thought it would be nice to remind ourselves what real style is.

1. The hourglass figure is forever in.

Marilyn Monroe knew this rule best – her curvy hourglass look has had men lusting after her and women wanting to be her for half a century! Marilyn’s look has forever solidified her as one of the sexiest woman in history. Learn from Ms. Monroe and realize that the hourglass shape is always flattering on any woman. When in doubt, look for clothes that nip in at the waist and draw attention to that area. Not blessed with Marilyn-esque curves? Fake it with a great belt or high waisted skirt.

2. You can’t go wrong with a little black dress.

If you only learn one thing from the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, let this be it. Ever since Audrey Hepburn sported that iconic raven Givenchy frock, the LBD has become a closet staple for every woman.

If you don’t own a little black dress yet, what’s stopping you? These dresses are always available in stores. If you want a piece that will stand the test of time, however, you’ll have to veer away from the discount shops & spend a little more for a dress that’s well-made. The extra effort will pay off, though, when you have that dress for the rest of your life.

3. Don’t be too perfect.

Genevieve exemplifies this rule – she always looks amazing and NEVER comes off like she tried too hard. No matter what she’s wearing, something about her look is always “off” – her hair will be a mess, her shoes won’t match, or she’ll leave something unbuttoned. The best part? Instead of looking bad, she actually looks BETTER and more stylish than if she was perfectly coiffed and buttoned up.

So take a hint from Genevieve and give up the quest for perfection once in a while. First of all, it’s useless – no one is perfect and no one will EVER be perfect! Second, imperfection is HOT in fashion. Whenever you get dressed, make sure something is off and you’ll score extra style points.

4. Embrace your so-called “flaws.”

Society likes to try and convince us that we should all look like Barbie – tall, thin and baby-faced, with doll-like features, flawless skin, and 36D breasts. This is such crap! In reality, the ways that we differ from the “beauty ideal” are what truly make us beautiful.

Think about all the famously gorgeous women who have embraced their “imperfections” – Cindy Crawford and her mole, Nse Etim and her gap teeth, Grace Jones and those amazing cheekbones, Cher and her nose, and the list goes on! Can you even imagine them without those unique features? It’s hard to do, but just thinking about it makes me laugh – they would all look so BORING!

5. A large, dark pair of sunglasses will hide a multitude of sins.

Another style lesson you can learn from the movies – big, fabulous, dark sunglasses are your best friend during dire fashion emergencies. Didn’t get enough sleep? Don’t feel like putting makeup on? Sunglasses are a quick, easy fix. No one has to know about your late night! Even better, they always add a dash of sophisticated glamor to any look. If you simply want to feel a little more like a star, slip on a dark pair of shades and some pearls and do your best Jackie O impression.

6. Be different.

As Coco Chanel once said, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” In high school we’re taught to follow the crowd and strive to fit in. In the real world, being different is the key to success in almost every area. Contrary to what most of us learn in our formative years, uniqueness is an asset. This is true in fashion and everywhere else in life.

So what is it about you that makes you unique? What traits do you have that no one else does? How does your style differ from the girl sitting next to you? Think about those traits and strive to make them MORE pronounced, not less. For more on embracing your uniqueness and finding your own style, see 7 Ways to Create a Wardrobe That’s Uniquely Yours.

7. Denim is forever.

An eternal staple of American fashion, a good pair of jeans is one fashion item that will never die. From Kate Moss’ Calvin Klein Jeans ads (who didn’t want a pair of those jeans?) to James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause, the man who officially made jeans badass, denim has taken on so many forms over the years. The eternally stylish Jackie O (pictured above right) showed us the chicer side of denim. It’s the one fabric that has never fully gone out of style.

Today, denim is practically a daily uniform, and would you really have it any other way? As Diana Vreeland once said, “Blue jeans are the most beautiful thing since the gondola.” I tend to agree.

8. Be who you want to be & reinvent yourself.

There are no limits to who you can become in life. Madonna, dubbed the “queen of reinvention” by many a critic, has transformed herself numerous times over the years – from a platinum blonde material girl to a wannabe geisha to a rhinestone cowgirl and back again. Her style always keeps us guessing, and that’s part of what draws us to her.

There’s no rule that says you need to dress only one way or strive to fit any mold. Why simply settle for being average? Take action and don’t be afraid to dress the way you want and transform yourself into whoever you want. Be an ingenue one day and a femme fatale the next, if that’s what you feel like doing. Dream big and let your style reflect who you are and who you want to be at the same time.

9. Simpler can be better.

Eku Edewor

While the bag lady look may certainly be fashionable, in truth, you don’t need layers and layers of clothes to make a statement. The simplest, most basic outfits are often the best, most memorable ones. Think about fashion’s most iconic looks – from Audrey in her little black dress to Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. We remember those looks not because the clothes were amazing, but because the people wearing them had personality!

Sometimes it’s nice to keep your outfit simple. It offers you the chance to let your personality shine through, whether it’s through your amazing cocktail ring that suddenly stands out or the smile on your face that’s no longer overshadowed by an overdone outfit. Remember: you’re the one who wears the clothes – they should never wear you.

10. Confidence & a smile are your most fabulous accessories.

Do I need to explain this one? If the fashion and beauty icons of the past and present could teach us only one thing, this would surely be it. All the clothes and beauty products in the world mean NOTHING if you’re miserable and uncomfortable in your own skin. Love yourself, be confident, smile, laugh, and never take life too seriously – those are the true ingredients of lasting beauty and style. Everything else is just the icing on the cake.
