Long before super stardom beckoned, I had this innocent but interesting interview with Genevieve Ifunanya Nnaji. I must, however, confess that I stumbled on the tape again only days back, and while wading through my archives. I’ve transcribed and extracted some of her candid thoughts which she shared with me. Particularly those I consider to still be relevant.
Born on May 3, 1979 into the family of Benedatte and Theophilus Nnaji, Genny, like I enjoy addressing her, hails from Umuebi – Amuzu in Aboh-Mbaise, Imo State. Dazzling and delectable, sumptuous and sexy, sweet and svelte, she is unarguably and indisputably the reigning pride of Africa in the make-believe world.
One of our biggest and richest, the single mother of one (Lily) who has in her kitty some of the most coveted award trophies and to her credit some of the most lucrative endorsement deals poured it all out to AZUH ARINZE. Trust me; you will definitely enjoy this…

Men are ready to date but shy away from commitment. This is a fact. It is said that men have a commitment phobia. If you have been a relationship for long how do you get around your man to ask you to marry you? One thing is clear you cannot ask him to marry you and you will have to wait for him to propose to you. If you do not do something about it you may have to end up waiting forever.
Here are tips you can try that will make him propose marriage to you –
Be his lover but be his buddy too
Your man wants both. He seeks in you someone he can love and emotionally bond with and someone who can be a friend. If he finds in you a combination of both, he will start to think in terms of spending the rest of his life with you. This is possible through marriage so he will ask you to marry him.
The 41-year-old actor made the revelation in an open letter declining an invite to a Russian film festival.
In the letter posted on the GLAAD website, the actor said: "Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes.
"However, as a gay man, I must decline.
"I am deeply troubled by the current attitude toward and treatment of gay men and women by the Russian government.
"The situation is in no way acceptable, and I cannot in good conscience participate in a celebratory occasion hosted by a country where people like myself are being systematically denied their basic right to live and love openly.

I watched a documentry called Journey of My Life made by Ade Adepitan. He’s a Paralympic medallist at basketball, a tennis player, an actor, a children’s TV presenter, a charity worker and campaigner, a motivational speaker and Olympic ambassador. Last year, he was a presenter on Channel 4’s BAFTA-winning Paralympic coverage, and has branched out into documentary presenting.
Ade mentioned that he could have ended up in the same situation as the children in the documentary if his parents had not taken him to England. I found out that Nigeria was of only three countries that had children still contracting polio. Knowing Nigeria for what it is, I just assumed the contract had been given to some company that had brought in either expired or fake vaccines. That was not the case as Ade met a young book keeper with polio who informed him that most of them were from the north and that in the north they were scared of the source of the vaccine. They called it the 'white witch'. At the end of the documentary, Ade was in the northern part of Nigeria to spread the word about the vaccine, he had the support of the government and traditional rulers but later found out that the terrorist groups were behind the people's fear of the vaccine as they preached against everything foreign. A week after he returned to the UK he heard the news that 10 vaccinators were killed while trying to give the vaccine to the those in rural areas by terrorists.
Channel 4 interviewed him. See the interview after the jump.
There is nothing we won't hear or see in this new age. I'm beginning to wonder if we are heading back to the stone age with this whole 55year old men wanting to marry a child and a pastor telling his congregation what not, or what to wear to church to the extent of banning it.
A controversial pastor in Waco, Texas is BANNING members from wearing weaves! Taking the whole "Come As You Are" concept a little far as he's attempting to BAN weaves from his congregation.
During an interview with AmericanPreachers.com, pastor A.J. Following that, he went on to issue a decree to the women of his congregation, asking them to not wear weaves. Why? He told the website,
The INTERPOL Unit of the Nigeria Police, headed by Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, in conjunction with its counterpart in Abu-Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has arrested one Itumo Chidebere, a suspected fraudster, who fled to Dubai after defrauding a Nigerian businesswoman.
The 35-year old suspect, who hails from Ebonyi State, has been on the run for the past 13 months after committing the crime, the Nigerian police spokesman, Frank Mba, said in a statement.
“In about June, 2012, the suspect was reported to have presented himself to the said businesswoman as an Estate Broker in Dubai, claiming that he could purchase a house for his victim.
“Relying on this assurance, the unsuspecting complainant made a payment of $2,082,139 US Dollars (N333 million) to the suspect, on the receipt of which the suspect disappeared without purchasing the said house, but rather chose to be running from one country to another in a bid to evade arrest,” the police spokesman said.
